Scope and content
Main dial: eight-day two-train arched dial with moon, very heavily engraved, matted centre with basket of flowers and funny bird; four-screw visible chapter ring with centre date, interim markings. Rest of dial very unusual: painted, probably on brass. Naked boys in corners (top) representing science, lower corners clothed figures representing religion and art. Entire painted globes on stands in hemispheres, painted moon dial, probably silvered edge.
